How to get around!
-
By bus
We are on super bus routes. The. 555 goes through Staveley and Ings and takes you all the way to Keswick in one direction and Kendal/Lancaster the other.
If you’d like a ride on the open-top bus you can take the 599 from Ings to travel to Kendal or Grassmere via Bowness.
555 buses come every hour (every 30 mins on Saturday and during the summer months)

By Rail
Our Railway Station is on the single track Lakes Line. It is at the top of Station Road in Staveley. It is only a short trip to Windermere, Kendal or Oxenholme (where you can join a mainline train to London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester).

Pedal Power
There are plenty of small country lanes round Staveley with Ings to bike along and a cycle route to Kendal and Windermere. With all those hills what you need is e-bike. No problem, you can join our e-bike scheme and hire a bike for as little as £5 per hour.

By foot
Staveley and Ings are just great for walkers. With the Dales way running through Staveley it makes it easy to walk to Kendal or Windermere.
